Abstract
Bibliographic databases only provide basic services to users, but
much richer information for specific user needs could be obtained
from them. The main reason for the delay in the development
of such higher-order bibliographic services is the limited access
to data in proprietary databases. We expect that the new open
bibliographic database OpenAlex will encourage faster devel-
opment of these services. We describe an approach based on a
collection of bibliographic networks as a foundation to support
the development of higher-order bibliographic services.
