o Symposia framework

Dear colleagues,

We are really excited to invite you to the inaugural Environmental Ergonomics and Physiology symposium! The symposium will be hosted by the Information Society 2014 Multiconference in autumn 2014 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Please bookmark the dates and join us in what we believe will be an vibrant and exciting meeting!

The Environmental Ergonomics and Physiology symposium has a broad scope, encompassing all areas of basic and applied environmental physiology and ergonomics. We would like to attract presentations regarding novel research findings on adaptation to acute and chronic exposures to environmental stressors, implications for sporting, recreational and occupational pursuits as well as implications for protective clothing, modelling, novel methodologies, design and teaching.

The program committee will especially value works with interdisciplinary nature. One of the main aims of the symposium is to try and open the space for networking, debate, and exchange of knowledge; connecting local and international as well as young and experienced researchers.

The symposia will address the following areas:

  • altitude physiology
  • thermal physiology
  • space physiology
  • gravitational physiology
  • applied exercise physiology
  • performance in extreme environments
  • environmental research & clinical populations
  • occupational ergonomics
  • biocybernetics
